A five day continuing
professional development training course in Cognitive Behavioural
Therapy for psychotherapists, social workers, counsellors, psychologists,
nurses, occupational therapists, coaches, youth workers, and
allied professionals where cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) may be
of benefit. This course is designed to help you develop CBT based skills and
techniques which can be integrated into your current helping role. This
post qualification training course provides an opportunity for you to
integrate CBT concepts and techniques into your existing theoretical
background and way of working.
Course Content
CBT Principles, Concepts, and Philosophy.
Case Formulation.
Cognitive restructuring and basic schema work.
Behavioural strategies.
CBT approach to managing Anxiety, Panic and Depression.
Integrating CBT into your practise.
Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy.
Compassion Focused Therapy.
Relaxation and breathing techniques.
Individual supervision.

Entry requirements
You will need to be in an appropriate helping role and In a position where you can apply CBT within your workplace role or
potential to do so. Email GCS if you are unsure whether you meet the entry requirements.
