This intensive course takes place over eight weekends, from September 2008 until Spring 2009. It provides a springboard for new career directions and guides you towards further professional training, if desired. The GCS Foundation course is accepted by colleges and Institutes throughout Ireland as a required prerequisite for entry to recognised diploma and degree courses in counselling/psychotherapy and masters in Counselling Psychology

Course Assessment
Assessment is part of the ongoing learning process involving personal reflection, self/peer feedback and assignment work. Personal development work is an essential element of satisfactorily completing the course. Successful students receive the GCS foundation certificate in counselling  psychotherapy

Course Venue 
The course takes place at the Connemara Coast Hotel in Furbo, Co.
Galway, 10 minutes from Galway city. The hotel has a spectacular view of Galway bay and the Burren. Furbo has a beautiful beach, attractive walks and a labyrinth
